I offer workshops on beginning pine needle basketry periodically throughout the year at Gualala Arts, an art center located on California's North coast. Many of my students have become basket makers and are creating and selling some very beautiful pieces. Once you learn the steps in making coiled baskets, the world opens up for individual expression and I have found that each of my students has developed their own distinctive style. They have also inspired me to try many new things. Should you ever be in Gualala at 10:00 AM on a second Thursday of the month, please come and visit our basket group.
